Ana M. Valdez
Executive Director
Ana currently serves as executive director of the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR), a coalition of some of the largest and most influential national Hispanic organizations in the United States.Founded in 1986, HACR’s mission is to advance the inclusion of Hispanics in corporate America. To this end, HACR partners with Fortune 500 companies, universities, and government leaders to increase Hispanic representation in employment, procurement, philanthropy and governance.
Professional Experience
Ana currently serves as executive director of the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR), a coalition of some of the largest and most influential national Hispanic organizations in the U.S. Ana comes to HACR with nearly 20 years of corporate experience, a track record of engagement, achievement and success with numerous nonprofit, grass roots and community-based organizations.
Prior to joining HACR Ana lead teams and initiatives in the areas of Engineering, Marketing, Change Management and Organizational Development, at Fortune 500 companies like: General Electric, H&R Block and Sprint.
She has also held leadership roles in a variety of community-based organizations as a volunteer and board member for Latino KC (a local philanthropic giving circle), the SkillBuilders Fund and Latino Leadership Institute-KC. Ana was also instrumental in the creation of the Kansas City chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) and served as its founding president. Ana has received several awards and recognitions throughout her lifetime, most recently she has been selected to receive DiversityMBA Magazine’s 2010 Top 100 under 50 Emerging & Executive Leader Award.
Education
Ana holds an MBA in Organizational Development from Avila University and a BBA in Marketing & Finance from Rockhurst University.
