Ann Marie Tallman Joins JCPenney Board of Directors

J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE:JCP) announced that Ann Marie Tallman, a highly accomplished leader in the public, private and non-profit sectors, joined Company's Board of Directors. Ms. Tallman, an attorney, most recently served as president and general counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF).
Excalibur Hotel and Casino Partners with Sed de Saber

Verizon Introduces New Marketing Campaigns Aimed at U.S. Hispanic Consumers

Verizon announced two new marketing campaigns aimed at Hispanic phone customers to generate awareness of the company’s new unlimited calling plan and its DSL high-speed Internet access services.Both campaigns were created by La Agencia de Orcí & Associados, one of the top independently owned Hispanic marketing agencies in the United States.
Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Establishes Employment Practices Advisory Panel

Citibank and National Council of La Raza Provide Financing for Mujeres Latinas en Acción Community Center

Mujeres Latinas en Acción, the longest standing Latina incorporated nonprofit in the U.S., has opened its new Community Center to serve more than 7,000 Latinas and their families. Located at 2124 W. 21st Place in the heart of Pilsen in Chicago, the Center serves as Mujeres’ new headquarters and will provide a safe haven for Mujeres’ growing number of clients seeking domestic violence and sexual assault counseling, youth programs and other services targeting Spanish-speaking families. Citibank Community Development and the Raza Development Fund have provided a total of $1.6 million in financing toward the construction and permanent loans for this project.

It includes point products, infrastructure solutions and business solutions as well as Financing Advantage offerings.
MGM MIRAGE Unveils 2005 Diversity Report

MGM MIRAGE heralded its diversity education program as a key factor in helping create a unified company vision and a culture of shared values following its merger with Mandalay Resort Group (MRG).At the time of the merger in April 2005, MGM MIRAGE grew from 11 to 23 hotel and casino properties, and increased from 40,000 to 70,000 employees throughout the United States.

Wal-Mart Board of Directors Nominates Aida Alvarez

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., announced that its Board of Directors has nominated Aida M. Alvarez, former administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration for election to the Wal-Mart board at the company's annual shareholders' meeting June 2. The company also announced that current board member José H. Villarreal will not stand for re-election at the June 2 meeting.

MGM MIRAGE Among Forbes List of Best Managed Companies in America

Forbes magazine has named MGM MIRAGE (NYSE: MGG) on of the best "Best Managed Companies in America," as part f its annual Forbes Platinum 400 list of top-performing big corporations. MGM MIRAGE was cited alongside only 25 other companies and was recognized as first in the "Hotels, restaurants and leisure" category.

Wal-Mart Launches Nationwide Campaign to Set the Record Straight

In a full-page ad published in more than 100 newspapers across the country, Wal-Mart Chief Executive Officer H. Lee Scott said it was time for the public to hear the "unfiltered truth" about Wal-Mart, and time for the company to stand up on behalf of a workforce that includes 1.2 million Americans. "There are a lot of 'urban legends' going around these days about Wal-Mart, but facts are facts," Scott said. "Wal-Mart is good for consumers, good for communities and good for the U.S. economy."
