Michelle Cook was appointed Senior Manager - Diversity & Work/Life Strategies. In her current position, she is responsible for developing proactive strategies and initiatives that foster workforce diversity throughout the business enterprise. In addition, Michelle is responsible for developing new and innovative work/life programs that further advance the corporation's long established reputation as a company that values and supports the whole person, beyond the employee. Michelle is the secretary to DaimlerChrysler Corporation's Diversity Council who derives its authority from the DCC Executive Committee.

In her previous position as Senior Manager - EEO Compliance & Governance, Michelle had corporate-wide responsibility for affirmative action planning programs, government compliance, employee dispute resolution, harassment and discrimination prevention training, and served as the subject matter expert for all employment related HR policies and procedures.

Michelle reports to Monica Emerson, Executive Director - Corporate Diversity Office.

Ms. Cook joined Chrysler Corporation in 1989 as a Benefits Representative in Human Resources. Since that time, she has held a number of increasingly responsible positions within the Human Resources organization.

Michelle is a founding member and the former President of the DaimlerChrysler Hispanic Employee Network, which was established in 1999. Under her leadership DCHEN launched a formal mentoring program to support the development and advancement of Hispanic talent within the company.

Ms. Cook holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University.
