ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNTIES

I. HACR Benefactor

As a nonprofit 501c(3), HACR strongly believes that the industry of relevant advocacy organizations collectively play a valuable role in the American culture. Specifically, our industry creates a unique service helping to endorse and advocate for a fair and balanced civil society.  We do so by supporting corporations who make a commitment, do the work, and produce favorable results. We also represent key interests of the Hispanic community and advocate to corporate America on their behalf.

HACR extends Benefactor status to those organizations wishing to extend Benefactor support of $100,000 to HACR.  This support will create an investment portfolio for HACR focused on long-term stable appreciation and position the Benefactor as a lifetime member to HACR.  Lifetime membership status requires maintaining a partnership in "good standing" and allows for permanent identification of "Benefactor" status.

II. HACR'S Annual Symposium -- "THE POWER OF HISPANIC INCLUSION"

The Symposium is the annual marquis event for HACR bringing together national Hispanic leadership in the areas of business, government, academia, and social causes.

III. The HACR Leadership Institute

HACR has partnered with the Harvard Business School to create the HACR/HBS Corporate Governance Program.  This four-day executive education program, taught by renowned Harvard Business School professors, is designed for existing and prospective corporate board members and is the result of a collaborative effort between HACR and HBS to increase the effectiveness and presence of Hispanics in the corporate boardrooms of America's largest companies.

Participants to this program include Hispanic Fortune board of directors as well as Hispanic leaders in the areas of business, nonprofit, academia, and government.  The curriculum and networking provides an opportunity for current Fortune directors to evolve their skills and knowledge and prepare senior level leaders for board appointments.  Moreover, this unique learning opportunity grows the network of key leaders focused on the issue of Hispanic representation in the corporate boardroom.

IV. The HACR Research Institute

The Institute is the research arm of the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility.  The Institute is devoted to objective research, analysis, and publication of Hispanic-related issues in corporate America.  The Institute focuses its research in the areas of corporate governance, workforce development, corporate philanthropy, procurement, and market economics and demographics.  The goal of the Institute's activities is to offer insights into the power of the Hispanic community and stimulate action on Hispanic inclusion in corporate America.

V. HACR Research Projects

Corporations seeking to grow the body of knowledge relative to Hispanic inclusion in corporate America provide exclusive sponsorship for various HACR research initiatives. The sponsor's identity is permanently associated with the final product. Research initiatives to be sponsored are:

  • Corporate Governance Report -- a comprehensive listing and overview of Hispanic directors among FORTUNE 1,000 companies including individual bios and ranking of companies.  The Corporate Governance Report is produced by The HACR Research Institute and published every other year.
  • Hispanics Today -- an annual economic and consumer analysis of the U.S. Hispanic market produced by The HACR Research Institute featuring research studies from prominent Hispanic scholars, think tanks, and consumer marketing experts.
  • Corporate Best Practices -- a research project which features the best corporate models from FORTUNE 1,000 companies regarding Hispanic procurement, employment and philanthropy.  The report is produced by The HACR Research Institute and published every other year.

VI. The "HACR Corporate Alert"

HACR issues a one-page weekly HTML "HACR Corporate Alert" announcing relevant HACR or coalition member activities as well as corporate responsibility updates of interest to a national audience including Hispanic leadership.  Sponsorship of this communications tool creates high frequency visibility for your company.

VII. The HACR Corporate Observer

The Corporate Observer is the official HACR newsletter issued quarterly. It contains Hispanic leadership profiles, relevant corporate responsibility news, and information on HACR corporate partners. Individual issue readership is 6,000 while annualized readership and impressions is 24,000.
