The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) welcomes the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) to the Coalition, bringing the total number to 14 national Hispanic organizations.
“The HACR Coalition has been carefully structured first, to make certain that the coalition is representative of Hispanic diversity and second, to strengthen our ability to address core issues with corporate America. The addition of CHLI reinforces our principle that if you are going to speak about diversity and inclusion, you must practice it. We welcome CHLI and the leadership of Congressman Diaz-Balart in this effort to realize better results for Hispanics in and from corporate America,” said Alma Morales Riojas, Chair of the HACR Board of Directors and President & CEO of MANA, A National Latina Organization.
"CHLI is honored to join the HACR coalition of the nation's leading Hispanic organizations. The recent emergence of CHLI serves as a strong testament to the vibrant growth and increasingly important role of the U.S.'s largest minority community. Taking part in the HACR coalition will help further CHLI's mission of increasing Hispanic representation in Corporate America. CHLI looks forward to continuing to work to advance the diversity of thought within the U.S. Hispanic community," said Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart, Chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute Board of Directors.
The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit and non-partisan organization dedicated to creating a broader awareness of the diversity of thought, heritage, interests and views of millions of Americans of Hispanic and Portuguese descent. The Institute endeavors to both educate the public, media, academia and the private sector about fellow Americans of Hispanic and Portuguese descent, and to educate Hispanic and Portuguese Americans about the options for advancement and vision of the American Dream.
