Marriott International, a leading lodging company with more than 2,600 lodging properties in the United States and 64 other countries and territories, joined the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility to demonstrate its continued commitment to diversity and Hispanic inclusion in the workforce.
“We are delighted that Marriott has joined the HACR family of companies as an Associate member.Marriott has joined with 31 other HACR corporate members in making a broad and comprehensive commitment to the Hispanic community,” said Alfonso E. Martinez, president and CEO of HACR.“In fact, Marriott is a good example of how to institutionalize Hispanic community commitment at the highest levels of corporate governance. For example, Marriott’s board of directors has established a subcommittee – Committee for Excellence – that sets significant diversity goals and monitors progress at every level of the corporation. This is a model that should be replicated throughout other publicly traded companies, and sends the right message to the Hispanic community.”
