George Herrera Named to Wyndham Worldwide's Board of Directors

George Herrera, president and CEO of the Herrera Cristina Group, Ltd (HCG, Ltd) has been named to the board of directors of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, an HACR Corporate Partner. Mr. Herrera was also appointed as the chairman of the board’s Corporate Governance Committee.

“On behalf of the HACR Board of Directors, I would like to congratulate both Wyndham and Mr. Herrera for his election to Wyndham Worldwide’s Board of Directors,” said HACR President and CEO Carlos F. Orta.“As chair of the Corporate Governance Committee, he will greatly influence Wyndham’s effort related to future board appointments and we look forward to working closely with Wyndham to ensure involvement of Hispanics throughout it operations.”

Wyndham Worldwide Corporation is the hospitality services business spin-off of the Cendant Corporation.Cendant also recently approved the divestiture of its real estate services business, Realogy Corporation.Mr. Herrera currently is a director of Cendant Corporation, and upon completion of Cendant’s separation plan, he will resign from the Cendant board.

Prior to forming HCG, Ltd, Mr. Herrera served as president and CEO of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC).He is the creator of USHCC’s nationally syndicated television show “Hispanics Today” which is viewed by over 30 million households on NBC, CBS and ABC networks throughout the United States.In 2000, Mr. Herrera was inducted as a “Fellow” of the Wharton Society of Fellows, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
