McDonald's Vice Chairman & CEO Joins HACR's CEO Roundtable

Jim Skinner, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of McDonald’s Corporation, has accepted HACR’s invitation to join The Home Depot’s Chairman, President and CEO Frank Blake and Verizon’s Chairman and CEO Ivan Seidenberg at HACR’s inaugural CEO Roundtable on April 30, 2007.

The HACR CEO Roundtable will bring together chief executive officers of top Fortune companies to discuss best practices related to inclusive employment and retention strategies, increasing Hispanic market outreach and brand loyalty, and the importance of the Hispanic Consumer Market to corporate America today and in the future.

"Not only is McDonald's a globally recognized business icon, they are one of the pioneers in ethnic marketing and Hispanic inclusion.As such, Mr. Skinner will undoubtedly provide an invaluable and unique historical view on corporate responsibility to the CEO Roundtable discussions,” said Carlos F. Orta, HACR President and CEO.

Mr. Skinner has held numerous leadership positions during his tenure with McDonald’s. Before becoming CEO, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer with operating accountability for the company’s more than 30,000 restaurants in 118 countries at the time.Under his stewardship earlier this year, McDonald’s promoted Ralph Alvarez to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of McDonald’s Corporation.

The company has received several awards and recognition for its achievements in diversity, such as the “Corporate 100 Best Places to Work for Latinos" by Hispanic magazine (2nd year), "Company of the Year” by LATINAStyle magazine, "Top 100 - The Latino Factor" by Human Resource Executive magazine.
