Burger King Chairman & CEO to Participate at the HACR CEO Roundtable

The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility is pleased to announce the addition of John Chidsey, chairman & CEO, Burger King Corp. (BKC) to the HACR CEO Roundtable.

“We are proud of our long-standing relationship with HACR, an organization that shares our commitment to inclusion. For BKC, inclusion is integral to our business strategy and is our way of doing business the right way,” said Burger King Corp. Chairman & CEO John Chidsey. “It’s a competitive advantage for us to reflect our diverse consumer base through our employees, franchisees, suppliers and other business partners. And through partnerships, such as ours with HACR, we create a culture where everyone can succeed.”

The HACR CEO Roundtable provides a forum for HACR’s corporate member companies to discuss best practices related to inclusion of Hispanics in their corporate responsibility efforts. The CEO Roundtable allows panelists to share their companies’ success stories in developing and implementing effective outreach, brand loyalty, and governance strategies related to the U.S. Hispanic Consumer Market (HCM).

“With more than 11,700 restaurants in all 50 states and in 74 countries and U.S. territories worldwide, Burger King clearly understands the importance of diverse consumers, employees and executives in its efforts to maintain its prominent position in this highly-competitive industry,” said HACR President and CEO Carlos F. Orta. “We are pleased to have Mr. Chidsey share his perspectives at this year’s CEO Roundtable.“

The 17th Annual HACR Symposium: The Power of Hispanic Inclusion will be held May 18-19, 2009, in Dallas, TX. The HACR Symposium attracts the nation’s most influential Latino community leaders, government officials, and corporate executives to discuss effective models for increasing Hispanic inclusion in the Corporate Responsibility areas of Employment, Procurement, Philanthropy, and Governance.
