Target Chairman, President & CEO Gregg Steinhafel to Host HACR CEO Roundtable
The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) announced today that Target Corp., the second largest general merchandise retailer in America and an HACR corporate member, will serve as title sponsor of HACR’s 25th Anniversary events to be held, in Washington DC, April 29 – May 3, 2011.
Gregg Steinhafel, Chairman, President and CEO of Target, will host the 2011 HACR CEO Roundtable. The HACR CEO Roundtable provides a forum for CEOs of top Fortune 500 and HACR Corporate Member companies to discuss best practices related to inclusive employment and retention strategies, increasing Hispanic Consumer Market outreach, brand loyalty and the importance of diversity in the board room. The event will take place on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, during the 19th Annual HACR Symposium in Washington, DC.
"HACR’s signature leadership programs provide an important forum for Target and other companies to share ways to work together to advance Hispanic inclusion,” said Steinhafel. “Our partnership with HACR underscores Target’s commitment to workplace diversity and support of our increasingly diverse communities. The 25th Anniversary events include the HACR Annual Symposium. This event is known for bringing together some of the nation's most influential Hispanic leaders, government officials, and corporate executives to discuss effective strategies and models for achieving greater participation in the areas of Employment, Procurement, Philanthropy, and Governance – HACR’s four pillars of economic reciprocity.
Other programs included are the Corporate Directors Summit (CDS) which was developed to further the HACR’s mission to increase the number of Hispanics serving on corporate boards. And the Corporate Executives Forum™ (CEF) created to provide Hispanic executives at Fortune 500 and HACR corporate member companies with a platform to discuss business issues, challenges and solutions for the advancement of Latinos in Corporate America.
