| The Power of Hispanic Inclusion Fortune Directors To Be Honored During Symposium |

The HACR 2004 Symposium: The Power of Hispanic Inclusion is scheduled for May 10-11 at The Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.
HACR is proud to announce its 2004 Fortune Board Honorees: Louis E. Caldera, Henry G. Cisneros, Nelson A. Diaz, Patricia Diaz Dennis, George Herrera, and Vilma S. Martinez. A special recognition will be given to Herman E. Gallegos. HACR will recognize them during the Fortune Directors Dinner.
Louis E. Caldera was Secretary of the Army under the Clinton administration and now sits on the boards of Southwest Airlines and Belo Corporation. Caldera is currently the president of the University of New Mexico. Caldera also sits on the boards of IndyMac Bancorp, Inc., and Iomega Corporation.
Henry G. Cisneros, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Clinton, sits on the board of Countrywide Financial Corporation. Cisneros is chairman and chief executive officer of American CityVista and serves on the board of trustees of the Enterprise Foundation, and is vice chairman of the New America Alliance.
Nelson A. Diaz, formerly served the City of Philadelphia as its City Solicitor, was elected to the board of directors of Exelon Corporation in January 2004. Currently, Diaz is a partner at Blank Rome LLP. Diaz sits on the boards of Temple University, the U.S. Hispanic Leadership Institute, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the National Association for Hispanic Elderly, and the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Diaz also serves on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's Committee on Racial and Gender Bias.
Patricia Diaz Dennis sits on the boards of the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company and UST Inc. Dennis is senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for SBC-West, a subsidiary of SBC Communications, Inc. Dennis also serves on the boards of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., The Tomás Rivera Policy Institute, Entravision Communications Corporation, and is a member of the board of regents of the Texas State University System.
Herman E. Gallegos, who is retiring from the board of directors of SBC Communications, Inc., is currently an independent management consultant. Previously, Gallegos was director of Gallegos Institutional Investors Corporation. Gallegos also served as an alternate US Public Delegate to the 49th United National General Assembly from 1994-1995. Moreover, Gallegos served on the boards of Pacific Telesis Group; the Student Loan Marketing Association (Sallie Mae); TransMetrics; UnionBalCal Corporation, and its subsidiary Union Bank of California. In 1996, Gallegos received the prestigious Ohtli Medal from Mexico's Department of Foreign Relations.
George Herrera, former president and CEO of the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, serves on the board of Cendant Corporation. Herrera is currently the founder, president and CEO of Herrera-Cristina Group, Ltd. Herrera was inducted as a fellow in the Wharton Society of Fellows; and he is a member of the Secretary of Labor Committee on 21st Century Workforce. Herrera is also the chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Corporate America Task Force advisory committee.
Vilma S. Martinez sits on the boards of Anheuser-Bush Companies, Inc., Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation, and Fluor Corporation. Martinez is a partner with the law firm Munger, Tolles, & Olson. Martinez has received numerous awards among them the American Bar Association's Margaret Brent Award; the Medal for Excellence, Columbia Law School; the Lex Award, Mexican-American Bar Association; the Valerie Kantor Award for Extraordinary Achievement, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund; and the University Medal of Excellence, Columbia University.
