Spotlight on HACR’s 2011 Fall Corporate Observer Newsletter

In October, the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) launched its “Advocate” campaign, a call to action for Hispanic inclusion at the highest corporate levels, from boardrooms to the C-Suite at Fortune 500 companies because in an ever-changing world of diversity, everyone can be an “Advocate.”

The latest HACR Corporate Observer newsletter highlights the campaign, which also focuses on jump-starting the dialogue for diversity and inclusion through clever print ads that highlight facts and figures about Hispanic inclusion in the areas of Employment, Procurement, Philanthropy, and Governance.

As part of the campaign, HACR debuted in October its first documentary film Insider Game nationally at the National Society of Hispanic MBAs 22nd Annual Conference in Anaheim, CA.

The documentary film captures insights and strategies from successful executives who understand that in order to move the needle forward, you have to play an Insider Game.

“Although Hispanics are the largest minority community in this country - 50 million strong and the fastest-growing sector of the U.S. population - we are underrepresented in almost every sector of our country,” said HACR President and CEO Carlos F. Orta. “This is our time. We need to step up to the plate and we need to own it.”

Featured in the documentary film are Patricia Diaz Dennis, Monica Lozano, George Herrera, and Solomon D. Trujillo, among others.
