HACR CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF POWERING HISPANIC INCLUSION WITH COMMEMORATIVE ANNIVERSARY DINNER

Target to host 25th Anniversary Events

The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary with a special dinner event on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Newseum in Washington, DC. The dinner commemorates HACR’s success in advancing Hispanic inclusion in Corporate America, and will serve to close the organization’s Annual Symposium, “The Power of Hispanic Inclusion.”

HACR is proud to have Target Corporation as the host of the 25th Anniversary celebration and joining us that evening will be several Target team members, including Target Board Member Solomon D. Trujillo, Laysha Ward, President, Target Foundation, and Gregg Steinhafel, Chairman, President & CEO, Target. “Our partnership with HACR underscores Target’s commitment to workplace diversity and support of our increasingly diverse communities. We are honored to be the official host for HACR’s 25th Anniversary events,” said Mr. Steinhafel.

Since its inception, HACR has had a profound impact on empowering Hispanic inclusion in Corporate America through four areas of corporate responsibility and community reciprocity: employment, procurement, philanthropy, and governance.

HACR Chair Ignacio Salazar added, “HACR is proud to celebrate this 25 year milestone. This is the perfect way to close out our annual Symposium event, which brought together the country’s leading individuals for a dynamic forum that further promotes Hispanic inclusion. As we look ahead to the next 25 years, we are confident we will continue on our successful mission of greater diversity in Corporate America.”

Additional 25th Anniversary Dinner sponsors include: Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, ING, Marriott, McDonald’s, MillerCoors, Pepsi, Sodexo, Time Warner, Toyota and UnitedHealthcare.
