Now in its fourth year, the HACR Young Hispanic Corporate AchieversTM (YHCA) Program was created to recognize young executives in Corporate America who have shown leadership qualities at their respective companies along with a proven commitment to the Hispanic community. The annual program recognizes between 25 - 30 young Hispanics at Fortune 500 and/or HACR corporate member companies. Once selected, HACR YHCAs participate in an intensive three-day leadership development, education and training conference in Washington, DC. Being selected as an HACR YHCA means that these executives have been recognized by their companies and by national Hispanic community leaders who comprise HACR's Board of Directors. HACR YHCAs are role models for other young Fortune 500 executives. Individually and collectively, they are leading the way in establishing a new standard of excellence in Corporate America. For almost 25 years, HACR has recognized the successes of companies that are committed to the inclusion of Hispanics in the areas of employment, procurement, philanthropy, and governance. HACR understands that a company's success will be increasingly assisted by their own in-house Hispanic talent. The HACR YHCA program is instrumental in not only helping companies identify their high potential leaders but equally as important in recognizing those leaders at the national level. As the Hispanic community continues to grow in population, political clout, and economic buying power, Corporate America is realizing that companies who have cultural competence and utilize in-house Hispanic decision-makers to develop products are having greater success than companies who lack these skills and understanding - it is the power of Hispanic Inclusion. 2009 HACR YHCA Sponsors
